I like the 60's vision of the future (Example 2:2001:A Space Odessy)more than the 90's. In the 90's future everyone drives sedans and living out of shopping carts, the technology is way too big and clunky, people are always wearing garbage bags and it looks like Terminator. Also crazy sunglasses. Whereas in the 60's the vision was much more optimistic, at least from a design point of view. The story lines often have us mentally or physically enslaveｄ by rich, bureaucratic tyrants ( Zardos, 2001, Logans Run, Tank Girl- Tank Girl! Next post wowee) but hey, at least we have food replicators, right?
